The Wolverhampton LGBT Network does not currently receive any funding.
The Network is just about hanging on from its small amount of earned income and from personal donations. The income from the charity shop and room rentals and the generous donations monthly are growing all the time, meaning that the Network is moving closer to itself becoming fully self-sustaining.
However, the Network has absolutely no spare cash to run “Pride”. In the wake of the terrible Orlando tragedy, it is more important than ever that “Pride” is held in our city this year.
Adam Dewitt-Bukater has helpfully suggested trying Gofundme, to see if the Network can raise the £9,000 needed to run “Pride 2016”. He is a comms and IT whiz and has set it all up. You can see it at this link:
If you can donate, even a small amount, it will really help. If you know anyone else that might support “Pride 2016”, please do pass on the details. It’s also on the Wolverhampton LGBT Network’s Facebook and Twitter pages, and they asking for supporters to share it.
